Our telling of The Real Halloween Story unveils the original Halloween, when humans gave nature’s treats to the magical folk to stop bad tricks being played on them. It follows a young man who discovers what goes wrong when the traditional ways are lost … and, luckily for him, what might be done to put things right.
“Whatever you do, don’t …”
It is brought to life by our hard-working storytellers, Mike Dodsworth and Callum McGowan. We hope you enjoy it. Feel free to join in with ‘oohs’ and ‘aahs’ at appropriate moments.
(The Real Halloween Story is much too long for under 3’s, so please don’t bring in babies or toddlers if you can – the Good Elf pub with seating will be open throughout, or the outdoor log fire will be burning just nearby to keep you toasty warm).
The Real Halloween Story is in the Performance Tent at 5pm on Saturday and 4pm on Sunday. Parents and carers – please let the children sit nearest the front.
After the tale is told, make your way outside to have your Halloween Lantern lit. Please join us on our Magical Animal Lantern Parade, or watch from the Main Lawn as it winds through the trees (we advise those with buggies to stay on the Main Lawn and watch).
