Wand makers had to cut more wood and queues stretched across the meadow for a while as the 2003 May Fairy Fair drew in over 1500 adults and children at High Barn, N Norfolk on May 25th. "A big thank you to all the volunteers and helpers" said Sarah Wise "it exceeded everyone's expectations and we made hundreds of wands from native trees, more than a thousand people completed the treasure trail navigating by idetifying wild plants, and the cafe was kept busy all day". Picknickers enjoyed gardens, watched maypole dancing and listened to polkas, jigs and reels from the wandering musicians - who helped for free. It was exhausting but great".
