We try our hardest to make all Fairyland Trust events as environmentally friendly as possible. We re-use materials, reduce material use, and recycle. We also use renewable energy wherever we can, and have green supplier specification policies. We try hard to choose food and other stalls which do not generate rubbish.
We would like to do more to reduce the carbon footprint of our events by finding locations nearer to easily usable public transport but recognize that at present the only practical option for many people is the car. Please do car share if you can.
Thank you for helping us by not leaving any rubbish on site. Please come prepared to take home any non-recyclable or mixed waste (except nappies – see Baby Change).
We are also raising money to buy land with little or no nature value and resow it with wildflowers to create new wildlife-rich places for children and families to enjoy. Some of the ticket price for the Fairy Fair and The Real Halloween goes to support this. Please visit our Fairy Meadow Fund page to find out more and to make a donation.
