Broomsticks flew in the Halloween Olympics, owls hooted during the story told at dusk in the woods, almost every family carved a pumpkin or made a lantern for the procession and chestnuts crackled over the fires at The Real Halloween. Fifteen hundred parents and children enjoyed sunny autumn weather and the event sold out on both days. Young people learned about native herbs in the potions Workshop, discovered the folklore and ecology of British wild animals by making Wizard Shields, and bounced two species of bat in the flying lessons at the end of Witches Pets. Missed it? Then come to the Fairy Fair.
Fairy Fair 2012 - June 3rd and 4th
In 2012 the Fair will be in early June not late May because of royal holidays - please make a note of the date and remember to book online at this website if you want a date with the Fairy Queen. Tickets will be on sale in early spring. Venue: Holt Hall, Norfolk.
Enjoy the benefits of a Supporter for just £3 a month
* The Trust helps families and children by making sure they grow up knowing about nature, as people used to years ago before everything was on computers and made of plastic
* It helps save nature as we rely on the next generation to grow up knowing about nature: natural history is not taught in most schools any more, and if children can't recognize any wild flowers or animals, they are unlikely to want to protect them when they grow up.
* Supporters get advance booking for the Fairy Fairs, and our other events, and a colour supporter newsletter with interviews with the Fairyland characters and things to do for children, and a discount on tickets
