Fair 19 Programme & Timings

View of the Main Lawn towards the roundhouse which will host the Good Elf and Corncockle Cafe.  Many events take place on the main Lawn.

A full programme will be posted here when available (copies are given out on the day) but here’s the outline.

Sunday 26th and Monday 27th May  Open from 10 am to 5 pm  Car park opens 9.30am.  No dogs.  Ticket only

Bookable Workshops  ( no under 3s)  Bookable in advance (with tickets)

Sessions at 11 am, 12 pm, 2 pm, 3 pm – Fairy Crowns, Fairy Gardens, Fairy Pets, Fairy Training, Elf Training, Wildlife Hospital

Drop in activities

Open from 10 am to 4.15 pm – Fairy Flowers, Flutterbies, Bug Bling; Bling your Watering Can; Fairy Houses;  Actual Reality Arcade; Face Painting; Pixie Post Office; Message tree

Rainbow Trail  10 am to 3 pm;  Visit Fairy King from 10 am to 1 pm; Visit Fairy Queen from 1 pm to 3.30 pm ( last entry 3.15 pm)

No new plastic Home-made Fancy Dress Competition

Child 3-8; Child 8-12; Adult: Judging and prize giving  at  1.45 pm in the Performance tent

More Entertainments

At various throughout the day: times Hal Wrayser Combo and Penny Les plus another band to be announced;  Mr Alexander – three shows a day;  Maypole dancing (see blackboard for times); Storytelling in The Story Hut (see blackboard for times) by Mike Dodsworth, Callum Mc Gowan, and Cliff Easterbrook; 

Meet Walkabout Characters

At various times throughout the day; including The Bee; May Bug; seven Wildflower Fairies, and Stripey the Caterpillar

Fairyland Trust Supporter Tea Party

Hosted by The King and Queen and other characters; 4 pm to 4.30 pm (Supporters only plus 1 adult guest and 2 child guests)

Magical Finale

4.30 pm to 5 pm; Report by the Head Fairy Gardener, King and Queen Speech, Inspection and Blessing of the watering cans

Food and Drink

Throughout the day; Good Elf Pub  – real ales, local cider and mulled cider; Corncockle CafĂ©-, teas, coffees, juice, cakes; plus other food stalls (all vegetarian).

Fairyland Market

Throughout the day: Hand made/ fair trade crafts

Site Services

Throughout the day: toilets, First Aid, Baby change;  rubbish collection of cans, paper and card only – no plastic waste or other landfill collected except nappies and sanitary waste. Please come ready to take your own rubbish home with you.  We can give cash back on cards at the entrance gate.
